Congratulations to Katie Boland’s We the People team from Trumbull High School which earned the Unit 3 Award for Best Non-finalist Team for Expertise in that unit. Connecticut was proud to be represented at the 30th Annual We the People National Competition by both Trumbull which placed first in our state competition and by Suzanne Kammerman’s team from Staples High School, Westport. Ms Kammerman is an alumna of the We the People program.

Civics First Board of Directors member, Donald Rogers, Ph. D. and Darcy Kern, Ph. D., Southern CT State University, served on unit judging panels. Dr. Kern is also a We the People alumna.
