Congratulations to Katie Boland’s We the People team from Trumbull High School which earned the Unit 3 Award for Best Non-finalist Team for Expertise in that unit. Connecticut was proud to be represented at the 30th Annual We the People National Competition by both Trumbull which placed first in our state competition and by Suzanne Kammerman’s team from Staples High School, Westport. 2017 is an exciting year for Civics First!  After celebrating our 40th anniversary in 2016, we have continued to grow and expand our programming and support across the state.  This includes hosting the 2017 High School Mock Trial National Tournament in Hartford, CT from May 11-13, 2017!  In order to keep up with our new national exposure we have updated our online presence with a brand new redesigned website!   Continue reading
